To the Editor:
This letter is meant to address two issues. First, a recent Letter to
the Editor by Davis Patterson, of Fortescue. Second, numerous
newspaper articles and TV commentary concerning Delaware Senatorial
candidate Christine O'Donnell and her so typical politician's tap
dancing disavowal of witchcraft.
as it may seem, I see the two issues connected. Let me explain--in less
than 400 words.
Patterson writes to promote his Christian perspective. Ms.
O'Donnell wants to distance herself from her youthful connection to the
oldest religion in the world. Unfortunately, she completely
misunderstands it and wrongly characterizes it.
opinion, the ills of the world are gender oriented. Our world is
under siege by members of the Abrahamic religions. They are all
male-dominated, all at war, and they have been for many centuries. I
don't limit myself to the present nor to only the Abrahamic religions.
For centuries, when and where males dominated the world, the world was
at war. Skin color, ethnic origin or religious belief is not the cause:
male thinking and domination is the cause...and the problem.
troubles in the world began when the magical control women had over
mankind ended and man's greater physical strength began to dominate...
and began to control our world's destiny. We need to return to a more
feminine perspective and methodology for dealing with our world's
problems. We are not only killing each other we are killing our world.
domination must end. We need a more equal application of the male
and the female perspectives. We need a more yin-yang, male-female,
duality for the direction of our future. We need more women in
government, business and all walks of life, all over the world.
this world-wide not just here in the United States. We are all of this
one world first; what we believe is secondary.
until the women of the world embrace the philosophy of Lysistrata will
we have lasting world peace.
