To the Editor:
My name is Letitia W. Wenerd " Letty " to my friends. I have lived in
Fortescue for twenty years, have worked at the Township Building in the
Tax Office, and sit on the Zoning Board for the last two years. I have
seen a lot of people come and go, in an effort to help run our Township in
a conscientious manner.
This year’s election as far as I can comprehend has turned into a
dirty, under handed attempt at discrediting all candidates that endeavor
to run for a Committee seat. Remember we all have skeletons in our closets
and half of what you hear are exaggerations.
Wake up people and exercise your thought processes. I cannot believe
that one person ( since when have bullies become the fashion) can baffle
all the voters in this town, and try and run the town by individually only
proclamation. We have a five-person committee to make decisions, and from
what I read in the papers and hear, only one individual seems to hog all
the time with complaints. I am tired of people laughing about what a joke
Downe Township is and how can anyone live here. My heart belongs to Downe
Township, bugs and all.
I am not trying to influence anyone’s choice in this coming election, I
just want people to use common sense and think !!
