What is this website?

Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.

My culpability; I did this of my own free will. In today's American vernacular it means "my bad" or my fault. I like "...doing it of my own free will..." best of all.

This whole website thing is my fault.

I research the material; I write it; I proofread it; I publish it. I take the credit...and I take all of the blame.

Considering that programming computers is one of my skills I can't very well blame the computer for what you see on this website.

This website is one of my efforts to change the world around me and to make where I live a better place for everyone.

In addition to doing all of the work here, I also experiment with different programming techniques and artistic perspectives. Lots of times things won't work or don't work quite the I want because of the experimentation. I learn; I change; I modify. It's a learning process.

That's OK with me.

Maybe you can overlook the blemishes and just read the words.

You will find that I am very opinionated and not shy.

On a local level, I'm worried that our local government will get bogged down in petty personal attacks and personal agendas. I love our township and very much like the larger majority of our residents.

What I like most is the defiant don't tread on me attitude of most residents. We want to be left alone to live life in our own way. On the other hand, when the government treats us unfairly--such as when the U. S. Postal service wanted to terminate the post office in Dividing Creek--we can get together and make things happen.

I don't want big government--Federal, State or County--telling us how we should live.

For what it may be worth, I am one of only 19 registered Libertarians in Cumberland County. Since you probably don't know what a Libertarian is allow me to quote from the membership card that I carry in my wallet:

"We hold that all individuals have the right to exercise sole dominion over their own lives, and have the right to live in whatever manner they choose, so long as they do not forcibly interfere with the equal right of others to live in whatever manner they choose

Less government and more personal responsibility.

So...this is my website for me to express my joy, my complaints and my perspective on how things can be made better. As my mom always told me, "If you can't come up with a better way, keep your mouth shut." I will outline what I think is a better way.
